Transformer Delivery — Yorkshire Substation

Project Overview

This project required the coordinated escort of a 200-tonne transformer from port to a Yorkshire substation. The operation included overnight road closures and police escort, requiring meticulous planning and coordination with multiple agencies.

Our team managed all aspects of the movement, from initial route planning and authority liaison through to the overnight escort operation. We coordinated with the police, Highways England, and local authorities to ensure all road closures were in place and traffic management was properly implemented.

The transformer was delivered safely to the substation on schedule, with minimal disruption to the local road network.
